Nickelodeon’s lost Jem “Hey Dude”!

Hello everybody, today I’m taking a look at the lost Jem from the nineties, Nickelodeon’s Hey Dude. This was a coming of age series with a bunch of kids working on a dude ranch. The owner Mr. Ernst played by Dave Brisbin was a New York City accountant who moved to Arizona to escape the hectic city life.

His ranch hands included his son played by Josh Tygiel, Ted played by David Lascher, Brad played by Kelly Brown, Danny played by Joe Torres, and my favorite Melody played by Christine Taylor. This was a light hearted comedy and a bit corny at times, but that just enhanced its appeal.

I remember it came on at 5:30 because I worked at my local restaurant and always missed the last 5 minutes because I had to be at work at 6:00. It is still one of my favorite shows from my childhood and if you never have seen it, it’s worth checking out. Have a great week everyone.
